“We think we now know as we have been and will soon embark.
Will it be what has often already been, finding the still of the dark?
Is there hope that this year will be different, walking in a new way?
Uncertainty stands before the door of 2010 and welcoming that day.

Beyond that door are discoveries of self that will truly come about,
Things that could make us proud or some that could give us doubt.
With all the hardships caused by the greed and acts of selfish men
Are there places of truth and trust that we could live in peace again?

Now the rush, shopping, travel, deadlines and the weather mess,
Yearend sales and exchanges, all dragging us back into deep distress.
The call for us to usher in another New Year when midnight strikes,
The dress, the party, the hoopla, we must have only things we like.

We pass over the choices and the pain; the stuff that came with strife
Vows broken, promises gone, feelings diminished; only on with my life
Don’t want to see the pathways taken for what will or has come to be
It’s now where no satisfaction is other than what is set for just me

Years have passed, vows forgotten, feeling, polls taken to decide
What might have been if one prayed and consulted Him deep inside?
What consequences would have been avoided only praise instead
Here you are with pain and uncertainties just wanting to go to bed.

Choices maybe coming home to stay now shown through others
Trusting in the world and the words of my sisters and brothers
Now you’ve taught and accepted the lie that Eve had passed down
Seeing your hopes aloof and the fallacies of the world to drown

And as the New Year walks closer each and everyday
You continue to not see; listening to what others have to say
As Jobs wife was wrong , is it that it rubbed off on you
Doesn’t have to be that way as New Years comes into view.

You can make the choices or decide to rethink and change
Maybe hard to swallow, people may think you are strange
You don’t answer to the world and the lies you’ve been told
Sometime life calls for standing up and truly being bold

What does He say and what does He demand for you this day
Starting fresh with pathways to be set as 2010 is on its way
Think over what you are doing and what you have done
Only He can give you the answer, as words come from the Son

It’s not about what people say or what they think of you
It’s what you will say when He weighs the balance of what’s due
Spend some time and think and ponder; look and really see
Find the positives, be obedient and live where life is free!”

What child was this born some two thousand years ago?
Why a stable where beasts of burden move to and fro.
What did heavenly hosts proclaim that night so rare.
How come shepherds visited mankind’s answered prayer.

Praise to God and Peace to men on whom His favor rests
A little town predicted long ago that of King David blessed.
Who could have imagined who this was and why He came,
So many have looked for Him as someone who had fame.

As the battle for the hearts and souls of Adams race persists
The deceiver continues to make the truth totally remiss
By blinding eyes and worrying minds, it increases everyday
No one stops to even ask “What did this child have to say?”

What happened and what did He go through in His years
How do I know it’s not some story with superficial tears?
What does this mean it’s not about Santa or presents new
No it’s about God and a relationship that He wants with you.

I’ve got to run, shop, buy, and then pay for all I acquire
Wait, think! That’s what He did, pay your price required.
To bring you back into the family, to give you new life.

Put these magnets into your socks. Mix this and drink that. This will help only read all the warning labels because three out of four actually resulted in some kind of harmful thing happening to them. Snake medicine and ancient remedies have been around for thousands of years. All that said, there are some justifiable things that one should be aware of and probably already knows, especially as women’s health and men’s health are at the forefronts of our culture and its concerns.

The brain is a powerful healing agent and you don’t need a warning label for that. Positives far outweigh the negatives in the way the human body reacts. Color does play a major role in our daily living and in our physical and emotional well being. Some artist painters who are aware of these issues and believe that their work not only is important but realize that they have a responsibility to their viewing audience are going beyond the normal quests for quality in their work and workmanship. They have taken it upon themselves to discover and study these issues and some of the affects art and paintings are having on health. This is a natural process for an artists who wants emotions and messages to be translated into the lives of their audiences. Their art works and paintings are an extension of their being and their expressions are driven by their own feelings, emotions, experiences, and inter actions with their world and the world around them.

For centuries artists and others around them have used their paintings to convey messages. What many have not realized and what is being more clearly understood is that their art paintings not only convey messages, but they provoke emotions within the viewer which directly and profoundly affect their health. Breakthroughs in the fields of health medicine dealing with art therapy are now announced often. Studies are being undertaken and quantified dealing with the affects of art paintings and art on the human mind and physical being. Color studies have been underway for over 5000 years initiated by the Chinese in their belief that color played an important role in healing.

The basic facts are these. First, art paintings can positively reinforce the cognitive behavioral understanding and effects on the human beings. This means less stress, healthier living and a better outlook. Second, color directly affects emotion, feelings and reactions. This means that engagements with certain colors will result in certain behavioral modifications, certain changes in moods and emotional understanding and can be used to enhance a better quality of life.

Not only must artists understand that their art paintings and their art works are powerful agents of change and affects, but they should embrace the role of helping and serving their fellow human beings. People concerned with women’s issues and men’s issues and especially dealing in areas like women’s health need to embrace and take hold of acquiring these health driven positives to bring them a better quality of life.
