Seven Reasons, Six Reached the Goal; One Hasn’t Yet!

March 8

If you viewed the previously posted video, you will be amazed by the ongoing revelation we are in. To reach 50 million users is amazing. Here are the six it talked about and there statistic on the number of years it took them to do it according to that video.

1. Radio took 38 years to reach 50 million users
2. TV took 13 years to reach 50 million users
3. The Internet took 4 years to reach 50 million users
4. IPOD took 3 years to reach 50 million users
5. Twitter took 6 years to reach 50 million tweets per day
6. Facebook took 9 months to reached 50 million users

What does all this mean? It means we’re in a complete information age revolution.

Here’s the seventh one, one that hasn’t reached 50 million yet, and you can help. Last week posted to this website was a video link to YouTube on Art Paintings and how important it is to find paintings that “capture your heart’s emotions”. These paintings help you because they promote your recall, positive thinking, emotional uplifts, your health and well being, and much more. Don’t you think it is worth people knowing that paintings, certain types of paintings, can make such a difference to their lives? Don’t you think that they should know what the differences are and what they can acquire?

If you do as I do, pass the word one by one. That video we posted said “78% of consumers trust peers”. If you’ve watched, that Wal-Mart’s ad for the lady that makes over her living room and puts that garbage on her walls, she needs to know that those wall covers aren’t paintings and obviously won’t do anything for her, her family, or any one that visits her. She needs to know that she could be giving positive reinforced messages daily to herself and those that live in her home or make contact with her in her home. She can make their lives better. I believe so, don’t you? Pass it on lets reach 50 million viewers with the message that certain Art Paintings, paintings that “capture your heart’s emotions”, can and will make a difference to their lives. Thank you!!

Seven Reasons Why You Want Particular Art Paintings!

March 1

Not all paintings are equal! Often people find no value in the paintings they purchase and that’s because it’s purchased in the same way a pillow for the couch is purchased. Do you like the color? Does it match the set? Will it make me comfortable and what is the material it’s made from? While this mentality is great for pillows on couches and beds, it has nothing to do with paintings. Paintings aren’t wall hangings for decoration! If you find they are, you’ve probably paid too much for that $2 torn print you put in that yard sale frame.

When it comes right down to it most people don’t have any understanding for paintings other than, if I like it I like it and if I don’t, I don’t. While that is an excellent starting place, you’ll never fully realize the value a great painting can bring to your life each and every day. They don’t have to be offered by Sotheby’s or be expensive, but they can be, if you can find them or they can find you, “priceless”.

Here are Seven things to consider:

First, these paintings live and breathe and communicate, which means for you that:
1. They recall the things of your heart, memories of love and relationship.
2. They bring reminders to your minds eyes of beautiful experiences and places of refreshment.
3. They communicate encouraging messages each and every day you are engaged with them.

Second, these paintings offer hope, optimism and positive reinforcement, which means for you:
1. They have triggers that set off the positives in your thinking and in your emotions
2. They give you constant reminders of good experiences and good feelings
3. They put these activated positives into combat against negative thinking and stress

Thirdly, paintings come from passionate expressions of creativity, which means for you:
1. They peak your interest in acquiring a better understanding of the artist painters
2. They push you to seek out more knowledge of color, balance, composition and alike
3. They create a desire to know more about the style, the technique, and the medium

Fourthly, paintings, great paintings contribute to your life and health, which means to you:
1. They change your moods and bring about noticeable changes in your thinking
2. They shape the way you look at things marking a cause of well-being and health issues
3. They allow you to personally witness the power of positive memory recall

Fifthly, paintings affect your environments and decors, which means to you:
1. They give you anchors during stressful times and not just pretty images without meaning
2. They offer you positive, hopeful laden messages rather than meaningless wall decoration
3. They evoke positive personal reminders to you rather than things that match pillows

Sixth, paintings contribute to culture and society, which means to you:
1. They connect and engage you to grow socially and culturally
2. They broaden the scope of your insight and understanding
3. They bring to life that it is not just about you, individually

Seventh and finally, paintings aren’t just about collections, auctions and monetary returns which means to you:
1. They let you grasp the effect of finding paintings that capture the heart’s emotions
2. They make you realize the many benefits of acquiring engaging works
3. They give you a new perspective of investment and return

Remember it’s not about just Paintings, just Prints, just Pictures, or just Images, or just Money; it’s about finding and acquiring great paintings that captures your hearts emotions. They truly are “Priceless”!

Seven Reasons Why Artist Painters Paint!

February 22

You know about every child at least in America who’s entered those hallowed halls of public education has been lauded over and wooed over and told so many times that they are the “Next American Artist” that it is somewhat of a joke. Everyone is an artist. Everyone is the next “da Vinci”, “Michelangelo”, “Picasso” or alike. Not too many find themselves being told they are the next “Andy Warhol”. Ouch, that’s going to leave a mark! With all this, including the cheapening of expression, the ability to counterfeit money on a laptop, and printing out anything, the world around us as well as society and culture have changed the perception of who an artist truly is.

Artist painters just don’t fall off some pumpkin wagon and say “Oh I’m a painter; I guess I’ll paint the ceiling of the new stadium in Dallas and be famous”. I did however, have one artist ask me if changing from acrylics to oil paints would make him famous sooner. Most of them found their unique position thru the outpouring of what they found in themselves. Most were encouraged to continue in their expressions. Most came to realize that they were given a gift, a true outstanding gift from the Creator of the Universe. Most understand that this gift like so many others, contrary to today’s instant jackpot mentality, has to be watered, fed, cultivated and handled with tender loving care.

The second through the fifths reasons are part of their gift as the gift comes with certain abilities and insights. Artist Painters see things a bit differently. Their talent allows them to look, see, envision and visualize nature, line, balance, composition, shapes, designs, color, plus a whole lot more. Some have camera like recall. They look and observe the world around them with glasses that are sometimes universal to other artists and sometimes unique to them, but they all posses this ability. They feel in ways that are unique to them and most often don’t talk about them or don’t let others know. They love. They love the earth, the environment, the planet, their fellow human beings, nature and its wildlife, domestic animals, women and men, relationships, friends, husbands and wives, children and family. You say well we all do that. That’s true, but it’s different for an artist as they have all these inner expressions, struggles, perceptions, questions, realties, truths and untruths, judgments and more going on in their heads. It’s like a filter or a series of multi layered filters that are constantly straining out all these different things to hopefully bring them something that adds to their being or be discarded due to its affect on them and their work. It’s a foundation and a formulation of their choices and their individual actions.

Next they cry! They cry real tears, not crocodile tears and they cry inside and out, sometimes aloud. They have deep emotional understandings and sensitivities, often unseen and most often not discussed. They are susceptible and affected by many things, many people and many relationships. They are affected by words, actions, and deeds. They are affected by foundations built and foundations torn apart. They are affected by being with people and being alone. When they cry out loud, you will usually find them in their artistic expressions.

Sixth, their expressions flow through them. They may suffer sometimes with a type of writers block, but artist painters usually will move to another type, method or technique to continue their ongoing pursuit, education and quest for perfection. They may also return to their previous track. Brush in hand, electronic pen brush on tablet, or through some ability to overcome a handicap, they are driven to create from visions, concepts, outgrowth of their viewing and observations an expression that is unique to their talent level, gift ability, educational standard, or understanding and learned level. It truly doesn’t matter to them what anyone else’s understanding or perception of their creation is until they offer it for the enjoyment of others which in many cases is like a lamb to the slaughter where everyone is a critic and an authority.

The seventh, and in this case the final reason, is artists painters just can’t help it. It’s what they do, what they love and what they want to be!

Seven Reasons Artist Painters Should Consider Holidays!

February 15

This may be off the direct beaten path, but with yesterday being Valentines’ Day and this week being President’s Week, it created a unique appeal for me to talk about them in light of artist painters. So with that in mind here are a few, seven, reasons for artists to consider these days.

First, artist painters paint! They paint beautiful wonderful works or they paint horrendous awful works and that is usually totally up to the viewing audience and the critics. All of whom will say, huh, well I have my own opinion and I am entitled to it or tell you it’s what they get paid to do.

Secondly, artist painters usually have passion. They love what they do and when asked, “What would they rather be doing?”; they will all look at you with that you are completely out of your mind look and firmly but compassionately say, “I’m doing it”.

Thirdly and fourthly, I’m going to combine because artists love color and the color red and artists love flowers. This is exhibited in every form of gallery that culture and society has to offer. Shapes, sizes, representations, realistic, impressionistic, abstract, you name it and flower s and color are all “passionately” expressed when artists paint!

Fifthly and sixthly, I combine as well because artists are a part of society and culture and marriage or single alike plays a part of all artists’ life. Artists have always worked and been influenced or had influence on culture. For Valentine’s Day or for any other Holiday they will use the opportunity to promote their works, work on their works or let the days themselves and the culture influence their works. They even may make it an opportunity to speak out from their works. As with any holiday artist painters are also influenced personally with family and friends on these occasions. If they are married, they’d better not forget about certain holidays’.

Seventh and lastly, artist painters are influenced by love. In their constant struggles they have been encouraged and honored by some and been put aside, ignored, and criticized by others. Their loves have kindled and made their passions burn and their critics have driven them from their life’s passion. One thing is that artist painters have been given indescribable gifts by their Creator, God. They have been given so much. Think about a gift that has to be so close to the Creator’s heart. Along with the love He offers each one, to the artist He gave a unique ability to see, to interpret, and to express in a myriad of medium and so much more. All too often, we all are just too busy to look and to ponder all the fantastic works at His Exhibitions and in His Gallery. Stand there, go there, be there, take that holiday and visit the open air exhibits. Feel the wind, the warmth, the cold the frost. See the beauty, the grass, the fields, the mountains, the caves, the cavern, the brooks, the streams, the lakes the rivers, the ocean. Step outside and look at the dance that goes on in the heavens daily and the ever present light show that comes on clear evenings. Look small, look large, look near, look far. Look with your eyes, with your heart, with your soul. Try to grasp the rush of color in a single petal, blade of grass, strand of wheat. Look at the veins in your own hands; see the hands, the face, and the lips of the one you love.

Ponder all He has made. How He has considered the Holidays and how He has considered you. Seven is the number of perfection and He is. You don’t even need to be an artist painter to see that and enjoy it.

Seven Reasons About and For Art Paintings – The Series!

February 8

I’m about to embark on a Series of articles that I call “Seven Reasons”. This series will endeavor to unfold for you and me a clearer understanding of Art Paintings.

Why Seven Reasons? Well, first of all seven is the number of perfection and while I will not always, believe me, get it right and sometimes be far from it to some, it’s a great number to remember and for which to strive.

So why Paintings and who care about paintings? As you have learned from my many articles over the past months is that I have a passion for painting, a passion for an understanding and a fear that though myriads have had an exposure to art and paintings much of the exposure is like a light bulb, able to be turned on, often left on with no one home, and eventually dying or even dead from over self exposure. I just truly believe the power, the joy, the well being, the memories and the human engagement one gets from the creative expression of an artist far outweighs the cost of investment.

My hope is to expose you to many key benefits of paintings, insights about acquiring them and engaging with them and bring you to a place where understanding becomes a beneficial reality. We’ll discuss things like how paintings are conceived and executed, how to fine your type of painting, buying and developing relationships with artist painters, buying online, involving yourself in art, paintings affect on culture and society, the changing world and new revolution in painting, the health and relational benefits of paintings, the styles and executions of paintings and much, more.

We will strive to give you cognitive assessments, introspective writings and practical procedures all dealing with art paintings which is what the blog is all about.

We’ll also ask you to spend some of your valuable time, ponder and respond to the “Seven Reasons” series with insight and comments. I’ve taught many classes and one of the things that I have always found is that it is better to be a facilitator than teacher. There are always some great individual thoughts, opinions and beliefs which in the long run help each one of us. So please consider being part of this and let’s help each other grow toward a greater passion and understanding of art paintings.

I truly look forward, God willing, to the research, and writing as well as your comments in the weeks ahead. If you have some things you’d like to hear more on, go ahead offer them up.

Have a great week and may you find great paintings or may great paintings find you!

Great Art Paintings Are Beyond True Comprehension, but Not Return!

February 1

The majority of people in a self-absorbed, me-ism society, social media driven culture won’t recognize great paintings, collectable artists and the priceless gifts that they bring to life.

What is the essence of a truly great painting? First before answering that one must consider are you talking about something that has been established, published and been honored because the history books, society or culture has told you these things? Or, are you talking about, a work of art, a painting or art paintings, that you have encountered, you have been engaged by and you have been overwhelmed with, to the point you want to posses it?

Artists, from every walk of life, from every culture and time period including today have found within themselves a force so compelling that it makes expression come from every part of their being. This expression is only satisfied by its execution and more often than not the satisfaction of the execution falls far short of the actual vision. When the combination of vision, execution, and accomplishment come together the work itself, the painting or paintings are the pinnacle of achievement. In its purest form it is without influence or criticism or judgment, and only experienced by the artist.

From this point on society, culture, critics, and peers will endeavor to evaluate their judgment and criticisms to tear away and pollute the purity of the expression. Herein, lies one’s own personal engagement to set aside the influences of others and experience all the expression has to offer directly within one’s heart, soul, and being.

Consider the artist Monet who said, after being told how great his paintings were, “one works a lifetime and considers only a very few to be even called great”.

If these works are rare how can one recognize them? Finding great paintings are not like taking a taste test, but in fact some of what someone must do is in the tasting. Society, culture, our environment and our upbringing influences our tastes, our desires our wants and our needs. Setting all those things aside and tasting only what the taste buds delivers takes effort. Discerning the way one’s individual palette delivers something pleasing is an individual personal experience and when done in truth has no outside influence. A person needs to seek out and experience art paintings. They need to learn to look and see and hear with their heart’s eyes. They need to discern what it is that they like and don’t like and they need to be prepared that in the midst of all these personal efforts to find out they will encounter an experience like no other. It will be at this exact moment that the engagement will meet the execution and the hearts emotion will be captured.

But, why should we even bother with paintings? While my own personal opinion is that some paintings should be bothered with as society and culture makes additions to the décor of their living and working environment based on color matches. You don’t place a painting on a wall to match the furniture or a pillow. You put a painting on a wall to influence and encounter you within that living environment. Great paintings can have color that enhance an environment, but great paintings can and should influence your health, push you to a positive daily emotional state, remind you of great memories and experiences, and speak volumes to your inner being. More than the humanities, society, culture, paintings, great paintings, engage you, travel your mind to wonderful places of peace and rest and bring you to your knees. They overwhelm you with the great generosity and loving kindness of the Creator. They simply make all parts of your life better because they give you life day after day after day.

Once these realizations happen and you truly will not understand it, great art paintings take on a new relationship beyond money. They become priceless; priceless to their possessor and priceless in their contribution to the well being of their viewer owner. Great paintings must be looked at deeply and connected with as often as possible. As “Antiques Roadshow” has shown us, broadcast after broadcast, you never know what you are actually possessing, what its worldly value is, and how it may be a true investment return. What you do know once you have this realization is that whatever investment you made to acquire a great painting will far outweigh and any monetary return.

Find great paintings or may they find you!

Great Paintings Are Combatants To Stress, Negativism, and Poor Health!

January 25

The Connection between Relaxation, Stress Relief, Emotional & Physical Well-being Can Be Demonstrated in Great Paintings. This is of vital importance because today we live in the midst of wars, rumors of wars, floods, pestilence, and of course as we have just seen close to home earthquakes. Life is stressful. At no time in human history has the global world be closer with more information, more demands, personal and governmental agendas. Life is stressful.

Negative thoughts, attitudes, emotions, feelings, misperception, anxiety, fear, depression, anger, resentment and social alignment are causing havoc with health problems and health related issues. “Me-ism”, “What I deserve”, “What I am entitled to”, and a quick “cell-phone donation” have taken the place of service to our fellow human beings. Lining oneself up with people who are continually spewing negative thoughts and emotions, watching and imitating, mirroring what you think others have and you want have negative effects on conscious decisions. The energy drain of negative people and the environment around oneself and the media has sucked the positives out of life, balance and the foundational rights and wrong that a person has grown up with. Unhappy people, hypochondriacs, and stifling relationships with people who have made wrong choices lead one to negative structure and chemical change. Changes brought about with attitudes, non feelings, anxiety, anger, resentment, social realignment exert powerful affects on a person’s healthy well being. Time has disappeared into daily planners and self management software. Lobbyist and payments to politicians have caused the worst recession since the great depression. At no time in human history in the midst of the information explosion has the workload for some and the non work for others created such anxiety and fear. Life is stressful and the health problem grows.

The powers of positives continually fight these overwhelming affects. Positives and the power of positive thinking, acting and being can help ones’ immune system. Look around are you in the midst of a negative group? Are you working in a high stress negative environment? Are you feeling that each and every day you are being attacked at some level or you are losing control, encountering failure, suffering from constantly changing medical conditions? Have you made choices which are a direct result of your present condition?

One of our great combatants to these issues is great paintings! Paintings that deal with your hearts emotions; paintings that capture your thoughts, dreams and inner most mind; paintings that engage you beyond some picture put up for décor or color matching are great paintings. These paintings remind you daily of the positives. They take your memories and gift them to you a new and afresh each time you see them and listen to them with your very soul. These painting let you breathe and relax renewing your very being. These paintings take you deep to world only you have traveled and they bring you to a life marker that releases the positives necessary to build and strengthen your health.

Great paintings are vital and unique weapons in the arsenal for health and well being. They are not some series of self absorbed rotating pictures in a box or some moving video that aggregates itself with all the other stresses. They are works of color, of imaged expression of an artist’s inner most interpretation of his or her creative being. They are modeled to meet you head on, to grow with you daily and bring you a constant and continually balm of positive reinforced memories and messages that are therapy to your very bones.

Wake up to the fact that great art paintings are here for you! You can find them at museums. You can find them at exhibitions. You can find them in galleries. You can find them at artist studios. You can find them online. You can see, observe, and look for them in the environments you encounter from the corporate world to the world of healthcare. The main thing is to find them and if at all possible acquire them either in their original form or in some print fashion. You’ll easily recognize them because they call you by name and engage your conscious and your unconscious and they speak volumes directly to your very being. They will seem like they have been created for you and for you alone and they will form a bond with you that is as close as any friendship. They won’t disappoint you or change their feelings for you, but will add positive, that last lifetime.

Find them acquire them and preserve them and if you already have one then find another. It’s worth it.

Who Knew Chinese, Abstract Art Paintings, and Colors All Benefit Health?

January 11

Documentation and research have indicated that the Chinese implemented and studied the effects of color and its affect on human health. Their results have proven that there is a connection within the brain and an effect on human beings. Moods, emotions, feeling, and positive effects can be directly related to the viewing and engaging of art paintings.

3,000 years ago the Chinese developed the ancient art and theory of “Feng Shui”. “Feng Shui” is the complex body of knowledge that reveals balance and energy into a human space. Much of the fueg shui movement has found itself in interior design and modern décor. The feng shui color guide using red, orange, purple, pink and strong pink is a huge part of its advance in interior design and décor.

Abstract art has dominated the world of art’s landscape for much of the past 30 years. In the United States alone it is still the single most directed thrust of art colleges and visual art universities to their burgeoning students. Abstract paintings and abstract art paintings have exploded on to the art world in an unprecedented way.

Society and our culture should become more aware of the possibilities this integration has for better living and better health, men health and women health alike. Every opportunity should be made in the corporate world to purchase and display works, paintings that use affective healing, health colors, feng shui colors to create better more healthy environments for people to work in.

Many of the top artists today those who value their own work and the lives and health of their viewing audiences and patrons are making great strides in the use of specific colors and color sets. Artists should embrace more of an effort to integrate and use health colors and feng shui color in the paintings and art expressions. Study and research within the art community should go hand in hand with the medical community in affectively dealing with Alzheimer’s, nursing home care, and healthcare facilities using art paintings that not only engage viewers and patrons, but provide them with the positive that art paintings bring.

Think about the positive affect this movement could have on the world of painting. It could act as a renewal of quests, stimulations and huge opportunities to infuse the art world’s artists with working capital, encouragement and excitement in their creative expressions.

Everyone wins, society and culture is enhanced. Women health and men health stand to have added improvement without that same cost structures seen in drugs and medicine. Every working environment would offer positive effects on emotions and feeling. Treatment and care could see dramatic changes in the way people feel.

Who knew? We do and now you do! Tell someone and get the ball rolling; we all could benefit greatly.

Art Paintings Aren’t about Tiger Woods, Divorce, or No Feelings!

January 4

We are living in tenuous times. What a mess. Tiger Woods went from the ultimate Player of the Decade to a $100 million dollar sponsor wash out in a matter of weeks. In tennis as well as just about every sport me-ism yells at everybody that disagrees with the individual. Players act as if they had done something hugely special in doing their route assignments. There is no loyalty between organization and individuals and coaches punish players for having concussions. Sports have no corner on the mess market. One is still OK even if they’ve forsaken their vows, lost magic feelings and have combative, non communicating relationships or committed adultery. After all, one has to get on with one’s life. We are now touting that divorce rates are lower because Americans can’t afford to get divorced. No word on how kids now see divorce as part of marriage or how they have been poisoned toward one of their parents, or even if the grass is greener in someone else’s bed.

Our feel good, self-absorbed society fights daily for “me-ism” and “15 minutes of fame”. We easily forget that as soon as the time runs out so do the people who care. Herein lays the destructive water damage and erosion of a culture and society who once prided itself in people, service, education and the arts and freedom. We set about educating our youth in the opportunities of exploring their God given talents. What we have done is pat the little ones on their heads and tell them they were American Idols with birth rights to recording contracts, television specials and happily ever after lives before they have even sung a note. Part of the back lash of all this is that rejection has made everyone a head coach from the bleachers or in front of the high-def TV. Everyone’s an artist and everyone is a critic. Sorry but poster paint on newsprint didn’t give one this right and community college or night school doesn’t make one the second coming of Picasso. Using one’s vocal cords to spout off about something of which one truly has no understanding doesn’t make them a professional reviewer, let alone an authority.

Just because our society and culture has developed a whacked view of beauty, appreciation and care, let alone the arts and art paintings, doesn’t mean we should throw everything into the rubbish trucks. If we would first stop, listen, think, and consider where we are and what occupies us we might start down the correct path. If we’d only start to think before we open up our mouths, if we’d engage our brains, if we would try to learn something or even appreciate something or someone before spouting off, things might change. If we would consider with more humility and in light of elevating others what others have done to allow us what we have, we might have a new respect for our God given positions. If we would look closely, try to see with more than our natural eyes and if we’d listen with more than our natural ears, things might change. True art paintings engage you. True art paintings give positive messages and like wine, stand the test of time and grow on you. Just like all the experts and research studies tell us that long marriage partnerships, in which there is always struggle, are better than any divorce, true art paintings enhance your life and get better with time. You can’t keep art paintings wrapped up. You have to look at them with your heart and your soul. You have to listen to their messages and you have to engage them like any other serious relationship.

Rather than sit there and spout off about this and that, find art paintings that hit you, that move you, that engage you. Find the positives. Compare them with things you accomplished, you developed, you created, you spent time developing and think about the individual who poured themselves into its creation. Start to live out rather than live in. Be thankful for all you have and what God has given you. If you stop, look and think on it, it’s always better than what it could be.
